Molasses Pie
Molasses Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell, 4 eggs, separated, 2 tbsp. flour, 2 tsp. ginger and 2 tbsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Beat egg yolks until light.
Add flour, ginger and vinegar; blend well.
Mix in molasses.
Pour into pie shell and bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
Egg whites and sugar may be made into meringue.
Spread on the hot pie and brown in oven for 5 minutes at 425° or until lightly brown.
If you don't like meringue use whipped cream or a small scoop of ice cream.
