Molasses Cookies
Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 2/3 c. shortening, 1 egg, 1/4 c. molasses and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream the first 4 ingredients.
Add the remaining ingredients; mix well.
Make a ball the size of a quarter and roll in sugar. Repeat until cookie sheet is filled.
Press each cookie slightly with the bottom of a glass.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 15 minutes. Don't overbake.
Makes 4 dozen.
