Molasses Cake
Molasses Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 1/3 c. sugar, 2/3 c. shortening, 1/4 tsp. salt and 2/3 c. corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix flour, sugar, shortening and salt into crumbs; keep 1 1/3 cups out for top of cake.
Add liquid and baking soda.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
