Mocha Tart
Mocha Tart is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter, 1/2 lb. powdered sugar, 6 egg yolks, 1 c. chopped walnuts and 1/3 c. strong coffee, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix cold strong coffee in with butter until you get a good mocha color, then work sugar, egg yolks and nuts into mixture. Into a deep Pyrex loaf pan, line the sides and bottom with the ladyfingers.
Layer the ingredients in this way: egg mixture, ladyfingers, egg mixture and ladyfingers.
The top layer should be ladyfingers.
Fill to the top of the loaf pan.
Freeze overnight. To serve, slice the loaf with a sharp knife.
Serves 12 people.
