Microwave Caramel Corn
Microwave Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 stick margarine, 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/4 c. white karo syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine brown sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in a 2-cup glass measuring cup.
Bring to a boil in microwave about 2 minutes; then after stirring, boil for 2 more minutes.
Remove from microwave and add the soda.
It foams up so use a large dish.
Put popped corn in a large brown grocery bag.
Pour mixture over popped corn and shake bag well.
Put in microwave and cook for 1 1/2 minutes.
