Microbaked Brown Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown rice, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 2 1/2 c. chicken broth, heated, 1 bay leaf and 2 sprigs thyme, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In heavy, microwavable casserole dish, brown rice in butter until grains are coated with butter and begin to sizzle.
Add broth, bay leaf and thyme (or allspice); season to taste with salt and pepper.
Bring to boil on High; simmer until tender (10 to 12 minutes).
Stir; cover and let stand.
Serve hot.
