Mexican Peas
Mexican Peas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (16 oz.) pkg. dried peas, 1 (28 oz.) whole tomatoes, undrained, 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. garlic salt and 2 1/2 tbsp. chopped celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Wash peas.
Soak in water 2-inches above peas overnight. Brown sausage to crumble.
Add onion and cook until tender.
Then drain.
Drain peas and stir in sausage and other ingredients. Bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Add water if needed.
