Meringue Squares
Meringue Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. soft margarine, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1 1/2 c. sifted flour and 2 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream margarine with 1/3 cup sugar; add egg yolks; beat well. Add sifted flour.
Put mixture into ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Press and shape in pan.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350Β°.
Let cool. Meanwhile, make a meringue of the two egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar. Fold in chopped nuts.
