Meringue Shells
Meringue Shells is an easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 3 egg whites, at room temperature and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cover a cookie sheet with brown paper.
Draw 8 (3-inch) circles on paper; leave 1-inch between each.
In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar, beating on high speed until stiff peaks form.
Pipe or spoon onto brown paper.
Bake at 300Β° for 30 minutes.
Turn off oven and let shells dry with door closed for at least 1 hour.
Peel off brown paper.
