Meringue is an easy dinner. Made with 3 egg whites, 3 tbsp. granulated sugar or 4 tbsp. confectioners sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Whip egg whites until frothy.
Add cream of tartar and whip until stiff, but not dry, until they stand in peaks and then lean over slightly when beater is removed.
Beat in sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.
Do not overbeat.
Beat in vanilla at end.
