Meringue is an easy dinner. Made with 8 egg whites, 1 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 c. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until it stands in peaks. Add the sugar gradually, beating continuously.
Flavor with vanilla.
Spread meringue onto a heavily oiled brown paper-lined cookies sheet or force meringue through a cake decorator or cookie tube.
Bake at 400Β° until brown.
Loosen paper lining.
While hot, spread the filling.
Roll as for jelly roll.
