Mel's Apple Butter
Mel'S Apple Butter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 lbs. apples, peeled, cored, and sliced, 3 cups water, 3 cups packed brown sugar, 1 box powdered pectin and 1 tbsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine apples and water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and cook for 25 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Mash apples and stir in all other ingredients.
Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Put mixture in pint jars; 1/4 inch from top.
Seal and put in boiling bath water for 5 minutes.
