Meatballs
Meatballs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 sliced onion, 1 can tomato soup, 1/2 c. water, 1 lemon, juiced and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Brown sliced onion.
Mix soup, 1/2 cup water, lemon juice and sugar.
Add to onions, simmer while making meatballs.
Mix egg, hamburger, bread crumbs, 1/3 cup water, salt and poultry seasoning.
Make into small balls.
Add one at a time to sauce. Simmer 1 to 2 hours, stirring gently, occasionally.
Sauce will thicken as it cooks.
I usually prepare three times the recipe. It seems to taste better as it is heated again.
It makes great leftovers.
