Mayonnaise Cake
Mayonnaise Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dates, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. chopped nuts, 2 c. self-rising flour and 2 egg yolks plus mayonnaise to fill 3/4 c., this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Pour boiling water over dates.
Add soda and let cool.
Add remaining ingredients as listed.
Bake in 2 or 3 (9-inch) pans for 25 to 30 minutes at 350Β°.
When done, the layers will have a dark brown color. Frost with 7 minute frosting.
