Martha'S German Chocolate Pies(Makes 2) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. plain flour, 1 tsp. cornstarch, 2 eggs and 3/4 c. coconut, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix sugar, flour and cornstarch together.
Add eggs.
Blend well.
Add melted margarine and chocolate, mixing only until blended and smooth.
Gradually add milk.
Stir in vanilla and salt.
Sprinkle coconut and pecans in bottom of unbaked pie shells.
Pour chocolate mixture into shells.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes.
Just as good without coconut!
