Marinated Slaw
Marinated Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head cabbage (approximately 2 1/2 lb.), 2 medium onions, sliced thin, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. vinegar and 3/4 c. oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Shred cabbage and separate onion slices into rings.
Arrange layers of cabbage and onion in a bowl or plastic container, sprinkling sugar as you layer.
Place all other ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Pour over cabbage and onions. Cool.
Cover and refrigerate.
Best if made at least one day prior to serving.
Will keep several days in refrigerator.
