Maple-Walnut Fudge
Maple-Walnut Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. packed brown sugar, 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk (not condensed), 1/2 stick butter (soft), 1 c. chopped walnuts and 1 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Line an 8-inch square baking pan with foil.
Lightly grease foil.
In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Then boil without stirring 3 minutes or if using a candy thermometer registers 235° (soft ball stage).
Remove from heat and let stand in pan without stirring until warm, 110°.
Beat in walnuts, vanilla and maple extract until well blended.
Spread mixture evenly in baking pan.
Refrigerate at least 8 hours, until very firm.
Lift foil by ends onto cutting board.
Cut into 1-inch squares.
