Mango Brown Betty
Mango Brown Betty is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. mango slices, half ripe and packed solidly, 3 tbsp. oleo (i use butter flavored crisco), 2/3 c. bread crumbs, 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Melt the butter and add bread crumbs.
Place a layer of the buttered bread crumbs in a oiled baking dish.
Add a layer of mango.
Sprinkle the fruit with sugar and cinnamon and add another layer of crumbs.
Add another layer of mango.
Place more crumbs on top.
Bake in moderate oven for about 1 hour or until mangoes are soft.
