Mama Dub Fruit Cake
Mama Dub Fruit Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar, 3 c. flour (self-rising), 4 eggs and 2 c. preserves (homemade heavy pear), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Prepare tube cake pan with heavy brown paper and grease good. Set aside about 1 cup of flour of the 3 cups measured.
Reserve the raisins, cherries, preserves and nuts.
Mix other ingredients to a good batter.
Dredge raisins, cherries, preserves, nuts and flour you have reserved together.
Add this to the batter.
Bake at 200Β° until done, about 6 hours.
