Mae's Sugar Cookies
Mae'S Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 egg and 4 tsp. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add egg, beat until fluffy.
Stir in milk.
Add dry ingredients into creamed mixture and blend well.
Divide dough in half.
Chill 1 hour.
On floured surface, roll out dough 1/8-inch thick.
Cut in shapes.
Put on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 6 to 8 minutes.
Cool and decorate. Yields 2 dozen.
