Mae's Pound Cake
Mae'S Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick butter, 3/4 c. crisco, 3 c. sugar, 5 eggs and 1 c. sweet milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream together butter and Crisco.
Gradually add sugar.
Beat until fluffy, about two minutes.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix next four ingredients.
Mix flour and baking powder.
Add 1/4 of flour mixture to butter, sugar and egg mixture.
Add 1/3 cup of milk.
Keep adding flour and milk alternately, ending with flour. Bake at 300Β° for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until no longer doughy in the middle.
Use a tube mold.
