Macaroon Cookie Bars
Macaroon Cookie Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. devil's food cake mix, 1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened, 1 egg, 1 (14 oz.) can eagle brand milk and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Heat oven to 350°.
Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
In large bowl combine first three ingredients.
Mix at low speed until well combined, mixture will be crumbly.
Press evenly into bottom of greased pan.
In small bowl, combine condensed milk, vanilla and egg; beat until smooth.
Stir in 1 cup coconut and nuts; pour mixture over crust.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup coconut over top. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely before cutting.
Makes 36 bars.
