Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Cook macaroni in three quarts of water. Drain.
Use a two quart casserole coated with Pam.
Cover the bottom with 15 crushed crackers.
Divide the macaroni in half for the second layer.
Use 8 ounces of cubed or shredded cheese for next layer.
Sprinkle over this black pepper.
Distribute 1/2 stick margarine now.
Repeat the layers.
Top with another layer of crackers, butter (1/2 stick) and pepper.
Heat milk.
Pour over the top until you can see on edges.
Let set 5 minutes.
Check to see the milk; if not, add more milk.
Bake 45 minutes or until hot in center or crackers are brown.
