Lye Soap is an easy dinner. Made with 1 can lye, 6 lb. beef fat and 3 pt. hot water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Dissolve lye in hot water; let cool.
Melt down beef fat; slowly pour lye mixture into melted fat.
Stir steadily until cool; pour into boxes dipped in cold water.
When cold and set, cut into bars.
