Separate egg whites and beat until stiff.
Set aside.
Cream together first 3 ingredients.
Add egg yolks one at a time, then flour and baking powder alternately with milk.
Add flavoring. Bake in tube pan at 325Β° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Cool ten minutes, take out of pan and add glaze.
