Cream shortening, butter or margarine and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time.
Beat well until lemon colored.
Combine flour, baking powder and milk.
Add flavoring.
Beat well.
Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325Β°.
