Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 tbsp. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, beaten, 1 tbsp. grated lemon peel and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add beaten eggs and lemon peel. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add alternately with milk.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until done and lightly browned on top.
