Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. white sugar, 2 eggs, beaten, 1/2 c. milk and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs.
Add milk alternately with flour mixture, adding grated lemon rind during mixing.
Put into greased loaf pan and bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
When done and while still hot, pour juice of one lemon with 1/4 cup sugar over bread.
Allow to cool.
