Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, beaten, 2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 sticks oleo or butter, grated rind and juice of 2 lemons and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Blend the first 3 ingredients.
Mix in lemon juice and rind. Stir in dry ingredients along with milk.
Fold in nuts.
Divide between 2 greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 60 minutes or until done.
Turn out onto wire racks.
Mix topping sugar and lemon rind and juice.
Pour over hot bread.
Great for the holidays or any special time.
Can make ahead and freeze.
