Layered Lettuce Salad
Layered Lettuce Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head lettuce, broken into bite sized pieces, 1 c. celery, diced, 4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped, 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and 1/2 c. green peppers, diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Place lettuce in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass pan.
Layer celery, eggs, peas, peppers, onion and bacon, salting each layer lightly. Mix together mayonnaise and sugar; spread over the top as you would frosting.
Top with grated cheese.
Chill 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
You may add a layer of cooked, chopped meat of your choice.
