Layer Salad
Layer Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c sliced carrots, 1 medium head iceberg lettuce, shredded, salt and pepper, 1 c. celery, sliced and 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked and chilled, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook carrots in a small amount of boiling salted water until tender-crisp; drain.
Chill in refrigerator.
Place lettuce in large glass bowl.
Season with salt and pepper.
Layer carrots, celery, peas, onion, olives and bacon over lettuce.
Spread 1 cup Blender Mayonnaise over top.
Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Garnish with parsley and additional olives.
Serve with remaining mayonnaise.
Can use 1 cup mayonnaise with 1/4 cup milk and 3 teaspoons sugar.
Mix and pour on top instead of Blender Mayonnaise.
