Layer Salad
Layer Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 head lettuce, broken in small pieces, 1 c. diced celery, 1/2 c. diced green pepper, 1 medium onion, diced and 1 can water chestnuts, drained and diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Layer first 7 ingredients in order given.
Combine mayonnaise and sugar.
Spread evenly over top of salad.
Sprinkle on dressing.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
