Layer Cake
Layer Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. self-rising flour, 2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. milk (carnation), 4 large eggs and 1/2 lb. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, beating one in at a time. Add milk and vanilla mixed together.
Mix in sifted flour and mix well.
Pour into four greased and floured cake pans and bake in moderate 350Β° oven until done.
(For thinner layers put less mixture in the pans.
I get 6 to 7 thin layers from this batter.) Frost with your favorite frosting.
