Layer Cake
Layer Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. white sugar, 3 c. self-rising flour, 1 c. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Use electric mixer on low speed.
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Save 2 of the above egg whites for icing.
Add flour and milk, about 1/2 at a time.
Beat a few minutes on high speed.
Bake at 350Β° until brown and cake leaves sides of pan.
This makes 3 layers of cake.
