Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add eggs and beat well, then add vanilla.
Mix baking powder, salt and flour together.
Add milk and flour, small amounts at a time of each; do not beat much after putting flour in.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
