Lasagna-Style Casserole
Lasagna-Style Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 oz. large bow tie pasta (2 1/4 c.), 1 lb. ground beef, 1 (15 oz.) can pizza sauce, 1 tsp. minced dry onion and 1/2 tsp. dry basil, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook pasta until tender; drain.
Fry meat until browned; drain off fat.
Add pizza sauce, onion and basil to meat and mix well. In a bowl, combine egg and cottage cheese or Ricotta.
In a greased 12 x 9 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish, layer half of the pasta. Spoon cheese mixture over pasta.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Layer remaining pasta, meat and Mozzarella cheese.
Bake, covered, at 425Β° for 15 minutes.
Uncover and bake 5 to 8 minutes longer or until heated through.
