Lane Cake
Lane Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 egg whites, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar and 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Beat egg whites until foamy and gradually add 1/2 cup sugar. Beat until soft peaks form.
Cream 1 1/2 cups sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add flour and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
Beat well after each.
Fold in egg whites and vanilla.
Pour into 4 greased and floured 8-inch round cake pans. Bake in preheated 350Β° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes in pans.
Then remove from pans and cool completely.
