Kraut Balls
Kraut Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. sausage, 4 (16 oz.) cans chopped kraut, 2 cans bread crumbs (italian), 2 tsp. parsley flakes and 8 tsp. sage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Fry sausage, stirring constantly, so does not lump.
Pour off grease.
Drain on paper towels.
Mix onion, peppers, sage and parsley with sausage.
Add mustard, stir cream cheese over medium heat until melted.
Stir for 20 minutes.
If too moist, add bread crumbs.
Should be able to roll into sticky balls.
Cool in refrigerator overnight.
