Kipper Pate
Kipper Pate is an moderately easy dinner. Made with unsalted butter for frying, 1/2 lb. kipper fillets, 1/2 lb. cream cheese, 1 garlic clove, crushed and 1 tbsp. grated or creamed horseradish, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Melt a knob of butter in frying pan.
Add Kipper fillets and fry gently for 10 minutes or until fish is soft and will flake with a fork.
Remove from pan, leave to cool, then remove any skin and large bones.
Put Kipper fillets in bowl and mash with a fork. With a wooden spoon, beat the remaining ingredients.
Add black pepper to taste; beat until pate is quite smooth.
Spoon into container.
