Kerosene Pickles
Kerosene Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with cucumbers, 1 bunch dill, 6 hot peppers, 6 cloves garlic and 6 slices onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Wash and dry enough cucumbers for six sterilized one-quart jars.
In the bottom of each jar, place a portion of dill, 1 hot pepper, 1 clove of garlic, 1 slice of onion, 1 teaspoon of whole spices, a small lump of alum and cucumbers.
In a saucepan, combine the vinegar, water and salt.
Let the mixture get to a rolling boil, then pour into the jars.
Seal immediately.
Makes six quarts.
