Kentucky Pie
Kentucky Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with pastry dough for 9-inch pie shell, 1 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, dash of salt and 1/2 c. butter, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
D surface to 1/8-inch thickness.
Fit into 9-inch pie plate; trim and flute edge.
Pierce bottom with fork.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, or until bottom is cooked through but not brown.
Cool. Mix flour, sugar and salt.
Put butter and eggs into large bowl; stir in dry ingredients.
Stir in vanilla.
Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips; pour into cooled pie shell.
Bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes, until top is golden.
Cool slightly on rack.
Serve warm, cut in wedges topped with Cool Whip.
