Kari's Caramel Squares
Kari'S Caramel Squares is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix, 3/4 c. soft butter, 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 1 pkg. caramels and 1 pkg. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix together German chocolate cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk.
Press half of mix in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 6 minutes.
Melt caramels and 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk.
Stir frequently.
Pour over baked layer.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Sprinkle reserved half of cake mix over the top.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Cut in small squares as these are very rich.
