Kalua Pig
Kalua Pig is an easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. pork butt, 2 c. water, 2 tsp. liquid smoke and 1/4 c. hawaiian salt (or coarse sea salt, or kosher salt), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Pat pork thoroughly with salt and place fat side up in roasting pan or crock pot.
Combine water with liquid smoke and pour over meat.
Cover and either roast at 400Β° for 3 hours or until tender, or slow cook on high for 4-5 hours until pork falls apart.
Remove from water and shred in serving dish.
