Combine white and brown sugars with Crisco and beat well.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add oatmeal and pecans and mix well.
(I mix all this with a pastry mixer or by hand.)
Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie pan.
Bake at 375Β° for 11 or 12 minutes.
Makes about 60 cookies.
