Cream butter with sugar to which cocoa has been well mixed. Add in order
Well beaten egg yolks, coffee, flour and buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved, vanilla and well-beaten egg whites.
Bake in two 9-inch layers in moderate 350Β° oven for 40 minutes, until done.
