Jambalaya
Jambalaya is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with c. ham, cut in cubes, . butter or margarine, c. chopped onion, c. chopped green pepper and garlic, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Saute ham lightly in margarine or butter about 5 minutes.
Add the onion, green pepper and garlic.
Cook 5 minutes; stir occasionally.
Stir in tomatoes, water, salt, thyme and hot sauce. Bring to a boil and stir in the rice.
Cover, lower heat and simmer about 30 minutes or until rice is done.
Makes 6 servings.
