Jam Cake

Mix together first 2 ingredients.
Add eggs; beat after each one.
Add flavoring and jam.
Mix well.
In another bowl, mix dry ingredients.
Add dry ingredient mixture to creamy mixture, alternating with buttermilk, until all ingredients are mixed well. Bake in tube pan, greased and floured, for 1 hour at 325Β°.
