Jalapeño Cabbage
Jalapeño Cabbage is an easy dinner. Made with 1 medium head cabbage, 2 c. white sauce, 8 oz. processed cheese spread with jalapeño peppers, cut into 1/2-inch cubes, 1/4 c. margarine, melted and 1 c. crushed crackers, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Chop the cabbage in large pieces.
Preboil until tender, about 8 minutes.
Drain the cabbage.
Make 2 cups white sauce, then add the cheese.
Stir until the cheese is melted.
Pour over the drained cabbage, stirring slightly to blend.
Place the cabbage mixture in a sprayed or buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
Pour the melted margarine on top of cabbage mixture.
Sprinkle the crushed crackers on top.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
