In a large bowl, sift first 4 ingredients together.
Make a well and add shortening, milk, eggs and vanilla.
Mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 12 minutes; be careful not to burn the bottoms. When slightly cooled, ice with desired frosting and sprinkle with colored sugars.
