Italian Easter Pie
Italian Easter Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour (measure by dip method), 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 c. shortening and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
Cut shortening into dry ingredients with pastry blender.
Scramble eggs with 1/4 cup milk (4 tablespoons).
Sprinkle over ingredients and toss with fork.
Add remainder of milk, 1 tablespoon at a time while mixing with fork.
When it is moist enough to form dough, shape it into 4 balls of dough and then roll out into pastry.
